Energy Commission Holding Webinar To Discuss Ideas for EPIC Investment Plan

The California Energy Commission is looking for ideas to help develop the 2018–2020 Electric Program Investment Charge (EPIC) Triennial Investment Plan.

The EPIC program supports innovative technologies and approaches that bring clean energy ideas to market and that benefit the ratepayers of California’s three largest electric investor-owned utilities.

A webinar will be held at 9 a.m. Feb. 3 to highlight proposed topic areas and concepts that staff is exploring for the plan.

The Energy Commission’s EPIC program invests about $120 million per year to fund clean energy technology projects that promote greater electricity reliability, lower cost, and increased safety.

The Energy Commission plans to release a draft EPIC investment plan in March. Stakeholders will have an opportunity to comment on the plan.

Anyone interested in participating in the webinar can do so online or in person. More info can be found here.

Stakeholders wishing to submit proposed funding initiatives for consideration should complete the form here by Feb. 10.
